Hello – I am adding a new question to the registration form and I am trying to add a link tag to the Question text box. The question type is checkbox so the student can confirm they have already done this request and proceed on. For first-time students, please upload a copy of your headshot and resume. Click here. However, when I save the link tag is stripped out. How can I accomplish the above request? Thanks so much. |

Sorry, wrong thread… |

Hi there, Currently, you can’t; I’ve just tested this and confirmed the HTML is being stripped out so I’ve created a ticket for our developers to investigate. |
|
Ok thanks. So this has been working fine for us for at least a couple years. We had a hyperlink in the custom registration question which directed students to a page with a form to upload documentation before proceeding with registration. |
|
and more importantly if this is no longer possible what is the best way now to achieve this request? |
|
Maybe this thread applies? |

I know, something has changed and the HTML is now stripped from the Question Text field, that’s what I have raised a ticket to investigate.
Right now, you can’t. We’ll need to find out what is stripping the HTML from the field and push an update to allow for it again.
I’m not sure I understand, isn’t that the same question? The ability to include links within the question text has been included within core for a long time, however, right now when you save a question it will strip out any HTML within the question text field preventing your from doing so. This is likely from one of our sanitation methods running on the request and being a little over zealous catching that field. We’ll get an update pushed out to fix this once we narrow down the cause. |

understood and thank you. it is an important part of our registration process to have students pass along information before proceeding. Appreciate the advice and thanks for looking into it. Will look forward to a resolution. |

Found the issue and this:
Is exactly what it is. We’ll have a fix included in the next update to Event Espresso which will be pushed out asap. |
