We have an event that requires a separate reminder message. The message needs to go out 7 days and 1 day before the event start. How do we do that?
Is there a way to tag an event to a specific custom message?
I know we can use the excerpt to insert custom text in the email reminder but it looks like no formatting is available doing it that way.

We have a multi-day event from May 12 to May 29. On the calendar,the event only shows on the May 15, 22 and 29 – all Sundays. We need the event start date to show on May 12th. See screenshots. Are we missing something?

Are you using the ‘Automated Upcoming Event Notifications’ add-on?
Currently, Event Espresso saves custom data when a message type is triggered to prevent it from triggering again (otherwise an upcoming event reminder could trigger multiple times) which means as it stands you can’t automatically trigger the message 7 days and then 1 day before the event.
Is there a way to tag an event to a specific custom message?
When you edit an event you’ll see a ‘Notifications’ section, there you can select which message template is used on each specific message type.

Can you add some more details on this please? Using the excerpt for custom messages is not how I would recommend doing it.
