Custom Features w/ a Membership Option

We have a membership where we charge yearly and monthly for several types of memberships. Could a membership like this be used with eventespresso – where members pay a yearly fee, then access our events?

Also, we have weekly events for our members (member’s only) who can register for our paid each time the member registers. Each event will have an opening for 20 players and 2 goalies with a waiting list feature! We’d also like to create a scenario where users can add money/funds to their accounts and use the funds for: Membership fees, Event Registration and Shopping Cart products – maybe even give members a coupon for discounts. We would also like to color code registered events=blue, open events=green and closed events=red within the calendar views (when a member is logged in). We are also looking for iOS and Android compatibility, where members could register for events through the mobile app and check in at the venues with their phones! Can your soft. Can eventespress be used like this or customized?

Hi Mark,

Thank you for contacting us! We appreciate your interest in Event Espresso.

Some of what you are needing is not included in Event Espresso’s feature set

1. Custom colors for logged in users is not a function. We do allow you to show expired events on the calendar.

2. We don’t have ecommerce/shopping cart products functionality, but you can add extra ticket types for the items you are wanting to sell with your event tickets.

3. For membership fees, we recommend using a plugin like s2member or MemberPress in order to charge customers for memberships to your site. Then you can use WP User Integration to set up member’s only events and member discounted events. We don’t have a way to store funds in customer accounts.

4. We don’t currently have waiting lists in EE4. We do have waiting lists for EE3 though.

5. Mobile devices – There isn’t currently a mobile app for EE4. We do have barcode scanning and ticketing add-ons for EE4 that require a barcode scanner. We do have mobile apps for EE3.

Thank you so much. We are interested in the higher-end version EE3 I think. I’m wondering if the features not included could be created (made custom by a developer or by your company)?

With the mobile apps for EE3, would our members be logging into our site or eventespresso?

Hi Mark,

With our time being put into improving EE4 and releasing new features, we aren’t able to take on any custom work. However, please feel free to contact one of our EE Pro-Developers to see if there is something they can do for you.

Your members won’t actually log into the mobile app. Your site/event managers will log into the app in order to scan tickets.

Does that make more sense? ?I am happy to answer anymore questions you might have.
