CSV report not downloading

I’ve never had this issue before, but out of nowhere now when I try to generate my CSV export, it complies and then forwards back to the attendee list but never downloads. I disabled adblocker but that didn’t help. I’m currently running 4.10.3.p. The ONLY change I’ve made recently was the addition of the Price Modifier For Event Espresso 4 plugin. Is it possible this is writing a column to the record that is causing the report to crash?

Cheers
Charlie

Hi Charlie,

Is it possible this is writing a column to the record that is causing the report to crash?

Possible, yes, we don’t test against 3rd party add-ons so I don’t know if it’s throwing an error on export.

However, when we get reports of this happening it’s usually from someone using Chrome with a site incorrectly set to use HTTPS.

So, the first question is are you using Chrome? If so, does the export work with another browser?

Thank you Tony. It works fine with Safari. I’ve never had an issue doing it with Chrome in the past. I am connected using https when in the admin area via Chrome. Should that be disabled?

Generally, it means your site is currently set to load over HTTP but then redirects the request over to HTTPS.

Chrome now blocks downloads that are HTTP when they originate from HTTPS, see:

In Dashboard -> Settings -> General do the WordPress and Site URL fields show HTTP or HTTPS?

You could try using Really Simple SSL to set up your site.

Greetings, in the settings it is HTTP.

Ok, that means your site is set up to load over HTTP and then everything redirects to HTTPS.

Rather than doing it that way, set your site up to use HTTPS from the start (your server will appreciate it 🙂 )

The easiest method to do it is using a plugin like Really Simple SSL.
