Hi,
Is there a way to include venue information (at least, the name of the venue) in the CSV for importing events?

Event Espresso doesn’t have that capability right now. I will add it to our feature request list.

It also doesn’t seem to be possible to assign them to categories in the CSV file. Can this be requested too?

Well in my case I only have 2 categories for my events: ‘Live Music’ and ‘Club Nights’.
In my CSV file containing the events I want to import, I want to be able to assign each event to either the ‘Live Music’ category, or the ‘Club Nights’ category. I don’t want to have to do this manually to every event AFTER I’ve imported them.
I’m going to be regularly importing many events.

I tested this as well just to be sure. No, this is currently not an option. I will add this feature request as well.
