I would like to modify the text of critical pages, but I can see only those short codes. I found this discussion, I haven’t manage to solve the problem yet. Do you have some other advise to do it?

Hi there,

The EE4 critical pages are dynamically generated for each registration, so they need to be shortcodes.

Can you provide details on what it is you want to change? There may be another option but we need to know the specific changes you want to make.

Hi,
I would like to modify the Thanks you page. I would like to edit text in that yellow box and add the link to my company’s webpage. Somehow customers does not realize that the registration is done now, and they they seems to go backwards quite often and try to do registration several times. That’s why I need to add link, which directs them out of EE. I planned to add my firms weblink to that, and instructions to click that link. I didn’t find anymore place where I can modify that text.

The other change is that in Registration check out pages, in the bottom corner is link cancel registration, I would like to translate that text in Finnish, because language package didn’t translated it automatically.

I would like to modify the Thanks you page….

We have a filter available to edit that text, see an example here:

https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/9e50f1757bf0533c95917a69e758af4b

Any content you return there will be used in place of the original text and you can add the function to a Custom Functions Plugin on your site to make the change.

The other change is that in Registration check out pages, in the bottom corner is link cancel registration, I would like to translate that text in Finnish, because language package didn’t translated it automatically.

Currently, the translation for that string is awaiting approval.

The current translation is:

%1$s cancel registration %2$s => %1$s peruuta ilmoittautuminen %2$s

The %1$s and %2$s strings are place holders but if you can confirm that’s the correct translation I’ll make sure that’s included in the language pack.

If you prefer to do it yourself in a local file you can follow the guide here:

Hi
The translation of cancel registration is correct. So you can approve that.
I will try that filter.

I didn’t manage to get that custom plug in work. Too complicate for me, I am just amateur web user. When I bought this program, I thought I will get ready and easy to use program. But for example this need just edit the text is meant to professional webpages coder, not for conventional users. Isn’t there any easier way to edit text?

It depends on the text you want to edit, as mentioned above, the output you are referring to is dynamic, so we can’t just output the text to a page for you to edit within the admin.

If you post the exact text you want to include I can put the function together for you.

That’s great. I think my biggest problem is that I don’t have program to do that php-file in right format, and that’s why I don’t get the plug in work.

The text what I want to see in that yellow box is the current text: “Ilmoittautumisesi on käsitelty onnistuneesti.
Olemme lähettäneet ilmoittautumisvahvistuksen sähköpostiisi. Alta voit katsoa, ladata ja tulostaa myös tarkat tiedot ostoksestasi ja ilmoittautumistiedoista.” Plus this one in separate line, after one blank line feed:
“Klikkaa tästä(<- this word should include link to firms webpage http://www.hutko.fi) palataksesi takaisin etusivullemme.”

You can use this function: https://gist.github.com/Pebblo/f4a152a8015ee1d962cd894d725349b9

Add that to a Custom Functions Plugin on your site and you should be good to go.
