Hi, we are experiencing this problem for the past few days. Whenever someone tries to register for event, critical error appears on the screen instead of the checkout page. I’ve tried to check any conflict with plugins but there is none. You can check it out by trying to register for this event: https://artoffcenter.com/classregistration/august-introductory-clay-class-wheel-test
It is frustrating as we are continuously receiving complaints. Please check.

The event is also “holding” registration attempts as a “reserved” ticket/seat. These are not falling off after the attempt is finished.

Hi there,

Do you have FTP/File access to the site? I’d like to take a look at what is throwing the fatal error.

If that’s ok you can send temp login details over using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Or if you have access to the error logs from within your control panel check to see what error is thrown when you load the above page and post it here.

Hi Mel,

Thank you, I could log in with those and have fixed this on the site you linked above.

The next release of Event Espresso will include a fix to prevent the error your site was getting from happening when you update.

Thanks so much!!!! Can you elaborate on the issue? I also didn’t update the WP version for fear of causing additional issues…

Thanks so much!!!! Can you elaborate on the issue?

Sure, it’s a compatibility issue the the version of Event Espresso core install and the ve`rsion of PayPal Payflow installed on the site.

The method signature changed which then caused an error to be thrown.

This was the error:

PHP Fatal error: Declaration of EEA_Payflow_Pro_Billing_Form::create_attendee_from_billing_form_data() must be compatible with EE_Billing_Attendee_Info_Form::create_attendee_from_billing_form_data(): EE_Attendee in /eea-payflow-pro-gateway/payment_methods/Payflow_Pro_Onsite/EEA_Payflow_Pro_Billing_Form.form.php on line 67

So I manually applied a fix into core for that to work and created a ticket for out developers to include it in core.

I also didn’t update the WP version for fear of causing additional issues…

I would recommend updating 🙂

We run the majority of our test sites on the latest versions of WordPress so any compatibility issues would be spotted quickly and fixed. I’m not aware of any, not with Event Espresso at least.
