Hi,

I would like to use EE in Israel.
Do you know if any of your supported payment methods, including plugins, support accepting credit cards in Israel.

I’ve asked Stripe, and they told me that currently they do not.

Thanks,
Oren

Hi Oren,

I checked Mijireh’s site and they have 3 options for Israel:

http://www.mijireh.com/docs/payment-gateways/

Mijireh is built into EE4 core, and we’ll also be adding PayPal Express to EE4 core which reports to be supported in Israel.

Thank you very much for the answer.
Just to clarify:
1) “Mijireh is built into EE4 core” means I get it out of the box, even with the “EE4 Personal License”?
2) “we’ll also be adding PayPal Express to EE4 core” – any guesstimate on when this is expected?

Very soon.

This is heads up for others reaching this page re payments in Israel:

I’ve checked Mijireh, and talked with their support to confirm the following:
Mijireh claim support for Israel through Paymill, Wirecard and WorldPay. However, Paymill doesn’t support Israel, and wirecard and worldpay doesn’t seem to support Israel as well. I’ve contacted them but didn’t hear back. (I promise I’ll update here if I’ll figure out a way to use them)
Mijireh support said:

Our page at http://www.mijireh.com/docs/payment-gateways/ and the country support shown through the user interface (like your latest screenshot) as based upon the latest and best information we have, however we make no guarantees about the accuracy of that information. Our clients must establish their own accounts with the payment gateway of their choosing and maintain that business relationship. If you are unable to obtain an account with any of our supported gateways, then I am afraid you will not be able to use our service.

This means that right now (9/2016) PayPal Express might the only option.

@josh, I’m excited the Express Checkout is coming very soon, and I hate to nudge, but if you can give any rough time frame (days?/weeks?/months?) I would really appreciate it!

Thanks!

Hi Oren,

The time it will take to get PayPal Express into Event Espresso core depends on how long it will take for a) the final code review, b) testing, and c) the time it takes to fix any issues that are found during testing.

You’re welcome to test the PayPal Express gateway if you’d like, it’s available as a branch on our Github repository, where you can download here:
