Credit Card Options Not Displaying

A participant registration has been completed, however, in the payment process, the pulldown menu for the “credit card type” is not functioning. It won’t allow us to access the pulldown menu. We cannot process her payment because of this. How can this be resolved?

What gateway are you using? That I know of, none of the on-site gateways have a dropdown for card type. If it’s an off-site gateway (e.g. you are taken to a different site to process the payment) then you should contact that gateway for that issue.

We have both PayPal and PayPal Pro activated, but that’s it. I noticed that the credit card checkboxes are unchecked. Is that the problem I guess? We’ve never had any other registrants mention this as a problem previously. Can anyone explain to us what the difference b/w these options is? Thanks so much!!

PayPal Standard is the regular PayPal option. PayPal Pro is a different service: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/website-payments-pro

You don’t usually need to use both unless you wanted to offer an on-site and off-site payment option. PayPal Pro requires an SSL certificate.

Okay it turns out that PayPal PRO was still enabled for some reason. Turning this off and leaving just regular Paypal enabled got rid of the empty dropdown. Thanks!!!
