Creating New Promotion – 404 Error on Save or Save and Close

Event Espresso (EE4) – Promotions – When I try creating a new promotion, specifically when I hit “Save” or “Close and Save” it returns a 404 Error in the main body of the next page.

FWIW, I tried visiting the WP-Settings-Permalinks page to see if that would help (based on this forums suggestions on other 404 errors), which didn’t help.

Hi there,

Can you check in the servers error log to see if there is an error being thrown around the same time you crate/save a promotion?

Its possible something is triggering a mod sec rule on the server when you click save, a little strange that it returns 404 though.

If you go to Event Espresso -> Pricing -> Price types.

Do you have any price types in the trash?
