we can’t seem to find the way in which our admins can designate an attendee as a VIP – Press – Speaker – etc. Surely this feature must exist. Basically, after someone registers, our staff needs to be able to classify them. When we are at the trade show, thew registration people need to see right away what type of badge to print for the person. How do we do that?

Hi,

We’ve received your request for priority support. Since in most cases getting a question answered does not require the purchase or redemption of a priority support token, we’ll leave that token open for now.

With regards to your question, one way to do this is by adding a question to the registration form that asks which type of attendee (a radio button question type or a dropdown select question type works the best for this). The question can be set to be “Admin Only” so the admins answer that question via the admin registration page.

Thank you, Josh. However, will the answer to this question be accessible in the first screen of registration when one of our admins / reg staff is checking in an attendee – or, do they actually have to click on every persons name who checks into the show to see whether or now they are a VIP – Media – etc….We need a very fast, simple way 🙂

I’m not sure what you mean by the first screen of registration. Can you explain or share a link to a screenshot?

The actual ticket (if you’re using tickets) can have that information included/printed right on it.

Hi Josh,

What we are looking to do is.
During the event we will be doing onsite printing of the badges when the attendees come to the registration desk. We need to have a way to quickly see if an attendee has been marked as a VIP.
Either some sort of icon on the registration search page for that specific event.
A type of warning that they are about to print a VIP badge.
Due to the number of attendees that will be waiting for their badges. We would not have time to switch databases or click into each individual attendees’ profile.

Everything needs to be easily seen on the search page. (see link below for a screenshot of the page we are on)

You can get that information from the CSV export.

Adding an icon or other indicator to the Registration admin list table is possible but would require some custom PHP development. Do you have a PHP developer that you work with?
