Hi there,
I am very keen to purchase the plugin and was wondering if it is possible to include the feather of coupon or the promotion code which is covered in EE3. If not, could you please let me know if there is a way around here to achieve the same goal.
However, the reason I can’t just simply purchase EE3 is I need the addon to display events in table layout, which is required by our staff and is only compatible with EE4.

Hi Sophie,
EE4 will have a discounting system, but it is not ready for release yet, we are hoping it will be in EE4.5 but we can’t give any definite time scale as yet.
EE3 does have a tabular event table:

Many thanks for getting back to me.
In that case, I think EE3 meets all my needs in terms of coupon,table view,etc.
Just a quick question, if I purchase EE3 and set it up for use till the discount module is ready for EE4.
Would there be much hassle to upgrade from EE3 to EE4?

Hi Sophie,
EE4 includes migration scripts to pull in your data from EE3 so migrating you data is fairly straightforward (once you activate EE4 you just run through the steps)
There are differences in how EE3 and EE4 displays the event data (EE4 events are custom post types and so are output in a similar way to posts) meaning when migrating over the event data will be displayed differently and any customisations made to EE3 will not apply to EE4.
It’s hard to give a definitive answer as it depends on how many (if any) customisations you make, how your theme styles archives and various other parts of the site, however if using the default output you should have no problems 🙂
