Hi Clients get a certain number of seats to the event for Free 100% discount and each company has their own code with their set number of uses. There is also a general code that offers a $15 discount per ticket, no limit on uses. The Loom shows the current configuration. https://www.loom.com/share/3f22258e547a496aa70f603bcc0a3fd9?sid=b8aa6b0e-5d09-40fc-a278-d8357b42e444 We have tried setting a per scope number and leaving it blank. And in both cases the code is getting tracked for both types by transaction not by the tickets purchased. Please advise. Thank for your help. |

Sorry to pester you, we have a launch coming up tomorrow 9-12. Is it possible for someone to take a look at the ticket soon? Thank you for your help. |

Hi there, Apologies for the delay. So in your video you say ‘They can only use this for 10 tickets’, the problem here is the EE promotions add-on does not apply to Tickets, it applies to Events. Purchasing 4 tickets for an event and adding a promotion code applied to that event, it 1 usage of the shortcode. That means in your example where someone who guys 2 tickets for the event and the usage shows as 1, that’s correct for the current implementation of promotions within EE. In order to tack promotions used per ticket the promotions add-on would need ‘ticket scope’ promotions which is not something we currently have available. I don’t think there is a workaround available for this but I’ll double check with our developers to confirm. Can those 2 promotions be used on any ticket across all of your events or specific tickets? |

There are two types of coupons for Free or Discounted seats to a training. There are two sets of training that the coupon codes can be used on – a group of trainings scheduled exclusively for their Member Group or for an open training for their specific state. A free coupon code is assigned to each member organization of an industry group. The second coupon code is for discounted seats, intended for use once the members have used up their coupon allotment for free seats. There is only one code for general use by all organizations. The member organizations can use the code to get a $15 discount on each seat purchased for either the exclusive or open state training. Therefore the need for a discount applied to a ticket or seat in this case rather than a transaction. |

Yes I follow the above, but on the events themselves, the user can choose any of the tickets on those events? Meaing its not tied to specific tickets within the events, but rather all tickets in the event(s). |
|
Yes. In this case there is only one ticket type available per event. |

September 19, 2024 at 10:09 am To confirm: There is no way to offer a promotion code on a per ticket basis. The only option for a promo code is a percentage off per transaction. There is no work around this and no changes planned for the future. |
