Hi Guys, I want to give a %100 Discount Coupon Code, but have it only apply to a single ticket within the cart (don’t care which ticket type). Basically I want an easy way to give certain individuals a free ticket, but not have the discount apply to their entire cart. It sounds like it’s possible based on this forum post, but I can’t figure it out. Thanks!

Hi there,
The promotions add-on allows you to create single one-time use promotion for a specific event that can remove the value of one ticket, but it does not allow you to specific a specific ticket the promotion applies to.
With EE3 when using the groupon add-on for single use promotions it would apply a 100% discount to entire cart, you had no other option with those types of promotions whereas EE4 you have a little more control, however it does now work how you are requesting.
We do have a feature request ticket to allow promotions to apply to specific tickets here:

With the current promotions add-on you can create a promotion valid on an event for a fixed dollar or percentage discount, so you could provide a promotion code which is equal to the value of one of your ticket types.
