Hi there,

Updates are included with the support package you have for one year from the time of purchase. The templates have not change much appearance wise over the last month. It’s mostly been under the hood changes. The exception of the payment page, which were mostly changes to the way the payment options appear.

If you’d like to demo out the new version to test, tweak, and get a good idea of what it will look like with your WordPress theme before updating, the best way to do that would be to install WordPress on a sandbox testing site using XAMPP or MAMP, install your theme there, download the latest version of Event Espresso from your account page, and install it there.
