Hello, was looking into cordless/bluetooth scanners to save time since sometimes the iphone camera isn’t the quickest to focus on the scan codes. Does the app work with any scanning devices?

Can I ask which devices are you looking at?
Although it is very unlikely they will work without custom development.

Yeah I was looking at a Socket mobile. 2D Model, CHS 7XiRx.

Hi,
Just had a look into the scanner mentioned.
It will not work with the EE apps. The apps would need to developed to work with the scanners SDK.

Could that custom work be done through EE? Any idea of typical cost for something like that?

Hi guys, is there any scanner at all that would speed up the check in process? we already had few events and it is slow. What about developing a plugin for a cordless or usb scanner that would athenticate even with a laptop in the wp admin menu? Is is very important matter for the success of EE.

Hi Dean,
One of the reasons I purchased the plugin was the ticket validation and that is one of the great things about EE. It must be a popular function. I do believe it is really important to speed up the validation process at the venue. Mobile phones are not the best solution. It should not be difficult to validate directly from the EE admin panel using usb/cordless reader on a laptop, like other plugins do. Please please consider this more seriously. Regards

Stageshow plus a very simple one but good one.
Hope you develop it as well.
