Consent checkbox on registration form

We have had the setting turned on for over a year now where people see a link to our tos and privacy policy when they register for an event and they must check ark that box before advancing to the payment page.

Where can I find the digital record showing they indeed check marked the box before paying? I mean we k ow they had to of checked it but it would be great to have the record of it.

Is there a place I can find it by email address?

For example I enter the email address of the registrant and then it finds their sign up date and shows they checked the box?

Also, if we ever have this issue again and it’s a customer that registered numerous times for different events, can we find that in a log or record so where showing that registrant did indeed check the box before advancing to payment page?

We don’t store a record of when that checkbox specifically was checked, EE won’t allow the registration to proceed without checking that box so the record of them doing so is the registration itself.

Not with the current set-up.

You could switch to a required custom question on the registration form, using a checkbox similar to the one on the site now only it would be within the questions themselves. The difference would then be that the value is saved as part of the registration questions, so when you go to Event Espresso -> Registrations -> {edit the registration} -> Reg Form Answers, you would see the answer checked there (No timestamp to show when that checkbox was checked though).

Would that work?

Event Espresso doesn’t keep logs of actions made on a registration, if we timestamped every action a user/admin made on every registration then your site’s database would rapidly grow so we don’t have a section you can view this on currently.
