We’re currently using yoothemes and widgetkit for the site, and it seems that EE has replaced widget areas in the footer with the event details. Link here

they’re paid themes/plugins. maybe i can send you a copy of the theme/plugin we used so you can investigate or create you a login for the site?

The best option would be to troubleshoot on a staging server, so if you can send copies, you can send them to support at eventespresso.com

Hi Aaron,
So this is a simple fix. You go to the Widget Kit page and go to edit SITE – Footer, then you uncheck the box next to “Parse Shortcodes”, then save.
What’s probably happening there is the Widgetkit plugin is running the_content() filters really late to make sure it can parse any shortcodes, and picking up the event details (also added via filters on the_content()) along the way.
A little heads up: Since your site is hosted on WPEngine you will need to make sure WPEngine support knows to disable caching for all of the pages that handle Event ticket selection and checkout. Here’s a link to more information about this:
