HI, I would like to send our attendees a confirmation of their attendance including the amount they paid. I used the invoice template for that and customized it. Looks fine. But I cannot figure out a good way of sending it out after the event/workshop. Do you have any ideas on that? I cannot seem to include it in the batch emails. |
Hi Rene, Are you wanting to provide your attendees/registrants with a copy of the invoice? If so, you can include the [INVOICE_LINK] shortcode in the registration approved message type: Then at any time, you can resend a copy of the registration details through the registration details screen. — |

Thank you Lorenzo, the default status is approved, since the registrants accept our terms.. and the will pay. Therefor I don´t have to worry about the ticketlimit. It is always up to date. After registration the recieve the approvedmessage with a confirmation. Now after the workshop I want to send out the invoice with a confirmation of attendance. But there seems not to be another send out funktion where I can include the invoice_link. Rene |

Dear Josh, can you explain a little more? I added [RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL] to the newsletter message but it wasn´t accepted. It also doesn´t show in the list. And even then, what do you mean by custom Ticket? |
You’ll need the ticketing add-on to be able to use the Ticket features. |

ah okay, great. I will try that. One more thing: it doesn´t seem to be possible to create PDF. It is just not so nice to have those two lines at the top and the bottom of the printout. It says at the top “all tickets for transaction… and date” and at the bottom “http://www….” |
Hello, could you grab a screenshot of the exact area that you are referring to in your earlier reply? Here is how to share a screenshot with us: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots — |

Hi Lorenzo, |
Hello, Are you referring to the URL at the very end of the page? I believe that is added by the web browser during the printing process. — |
|
|
yes, exactly. That´s why it would be nice to have the option of creating a PDF just like with the invoice. But there doesn´t seem to be an option. |
Hello, I don’t think that will work since the information like the URL is added by the local web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox) during the printing process. That is, the URL is not something that is shown there by Event Espresso but is is added to the footer of the page when you go to print the page. — |

Hi Lorenzo, I know. That is the point. With the invoice e.g., there is the option of direct PDF download. Then when you print that, there is no lines added. That looks much more professionell. But printing directly from the browser always includes those lines (unless you actively exclude them, which most people probably wont do). It would be great to just have a direct download option or even better a possibility to send the generated pdf attached directly to the newsletter/batch mail that goes out. |
One reason we do not have that option currently is the library used to generate the Barcode is JavaScript based so it needs to load within your browser. So currently the only way to generate and print the tickets is using the browser print function, which as mentioned will add those strings to the header and footer. I have added this feature request to out public roadmap here: Please feel free to add your vote and comments to that card. |

Ah, I understand. Thanks for clarifying. That makes sense. |
