It depends where the delay is coming from, EE uses a message queue system which can take a little time to work through, you can disable that by going to:
Event Espresso -> Messages -> Settings
Set ‘Generate and send all messages:’ to ‘On the same request’ and EE will generate and send the email over to your mail server as it is triggered, from there any delays are outside the control of Event Espresso.
May I ask why 3-4 minutes is an issue?
What if the mail server you are using suddenly becomes busy and your emails are put into a queue meaning actually sending the email takes longer than that? (Note that we have zero control over if that happens or not)
