I am having trouble with the confirmation email process. For some reason it has stopped. I have installed Postmark and wp mail log. WP mail log shows that they were sent but they are never received. All of the other email options such as pending payment due work. I also updated the field to [co_mail] |
Hi there, So this is the ‘Registration Approved’ message? If the email is shown in wp mail log then EE has triggered the email and sent it on its way, from there we don’t have any control over the email. Have you checked within Postmark to see if you can see the emails there? If you open the email within wp mail logging does it show the full content of the email? Is there a test event I can run a registration on? |

WP Mail log and Postmark shows no emails going out yesterday. The website is http://www.backroadchallenge.com. When you go through the registration process us promo code test. |
So were these emails shown in the log from previous registration? If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages you’ll be on the message activity tab. Do you see a list of emails there? If so what colour ‘status bar’ do they have on the left? – http://take.ms/z9UPT |

They are red |
Does the Message Activity table show anything for the To and From fields of those failed messages? |
|
|
Yes. |
Those failed messages are from 4-5 days ago. Can you go to EE > Messages > Message settings and set the option there to Send Messages On the Same request? Then try testing a registration? |

I received the attached message when I switch the setting to ‘on the same request’ |
That message is actually pointing to the problem that needs to be addressed: Your emails are trying to use an invalid From address. You can fix the invalid From address field values by going to Event Espresso > Messages > Default Message templates and changing the From fields in those templates to use this shorcode instead:

It’s working. Thank you for your help. 🙂 |
