We are having a conference and are allowing the exhibitors to have register two people. We are selling one ticket but need both of the people manning the booth’s information. How would we go about that? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi there,

Do all booths require 2 people?

If you only want to sell a single ticket for each booth you will need to create a custom question group to collect the additional person’s details in the primary registrant questions but this means that the ‘additional person’ will not show up in the registration list/CSV report etc.

Can you not set the ticket to allow up to the user to select up to 2 of that ticket and then collect the additional person’s details as an additional registrant?

The ticket has a price of $415. If they select two tickets then the price will be double. I’m sure I am misunderstanding your suggestion. Please advise how this would work.
Thank you.

Do all booths require 2 people or can users opt for a single person in a booth?

Booths can opt to have only one person in the booth.

Hi Katrina,

My apologies for the delayed reply.

So with Event Espresso if you want each person to show as a registrant, they need to select a ticket (meaning you need to have a qty of 2 ticket in the cart for this).

As you want to allow both single and double bookings there are a couple of ways you can set this up.

Either have a ‘Booth + 1 Exhibitor’ ticket and then a ‘Booth + 2 Exhibitor’ ticket set up as a bundle ticket (which basically means the user has the option to select 0 or 2 of that ticket, you set the price per ticket so would set the price as $207.50 and the user would be charged $415)

Or, you can have a ‘Booth ticket’ set at $415 and set that ticket to be required so all purchase must select at least 1 of booth and then another ticket which you can name as ‘Addition exhibitor’, set that ticket as free with a max quantity of 1 to allow for a single additional exhibitor at no additional cost but allowing you to capture their details.

I can provide more details on how to set either of those options up if you that will work for you?
