I am looking at EE4 as a solution to a conference we run each year. I have no previous experience with this software so am starting from scratch.
Each person needs to purchase a conference ticket but then there are several Accommodation options and then several ‘Daily Meals’ options. Some of these accommodation options are free and some are not. With the accommodation, the individual can be allowed only select one of the options and the availability of most of those options is limited. We also want to be able to provide a ‘donation’ option which I realise has to have a predetermined value, but I assume the way around that is for the to purchase multiples of a denomination.
We need to know personal details of each attendee as follows:
All the usual name and address details, contact details, and also their age and gender. Age is in ranges, preschool (0-4), at school(5-13) & (14-18), 19 – 25 yeas and then ten year bands up to 75yrs. Radio Buttons would work.
Ideally, if someone wanted to register several people, there would be the option, once they have completed their registration, and before going to the payment sections, to add another attendee and repeat the selection process. Once they have finished entering all the registrants details then then go to the payment page. Can EE4 do all that? Thanks

I have made some progress. I think I have figured out that people can select ‘6’ conference tickets and then they make their other selections around food and accommodation. I have loaded tickets for Conference Attendance but then want to make all others aspects (Accommodation & Food) subordinate to that. At least that is what I think I want to do. I want to turn off the questions, or at least not keep asking the same questions, for all tickets other than the registration ticket. I also need to be able to stop people from say selecting on ‘Conference Ticket’ and the three ‘Meal Tickets’. And also to stop them booking more accommodation tickets, or whatever sort, they they have ‘Conference tickets’.

Hi Meie,
Turns out Event Espresso does not currently officially support add-on items for events which means it won’t work in the way you are currently expecting without custom development.
Currently if users wish to add additional items for purchase they do add them as an additional ticket as you are, however you can not limit the selection of a ticket based on the selection/qty of another so this:

Is currently not supported, you would need the help of a developer to work around this.
Each additional ticket is class as an additional registrant which means that if you have any question groups selected for additional registrants within the event EE will ask for those question for each ticket selected, you can prevent this by unchecking all question groups within the additional registrants section – http://take.ms/1CBvc
However this may prevent you from allow multiple users to register at once.

The questions to ask here can all be done with custom questions, however note with the above the additional registrants can’t work this way.
