I have been asked to develop (at short notice) the annual renewal for our Pony Club … fndponyclub.org.uk.

The pricing structure is as follows:
Family member 1: £75
Family Member 2: £75
Family member 3: £25
More members: Free

For each member I need to collect; name, preferred name, gender, dob etc.

To date I have set up three tickets, 1 for £75 with max number of persons of two, another for £25 maximum number of 1 and a Free ticket.

Rather than have seperate tickets being shown as present, I would prefer for the parent/guardian to choose the number of members they are registering and the price worked out silently! Am I missing something obvious that would allow this?

Secondly, I need to add a Branch Admin Fee of £3.50 to each total order in the same way as offering a tie, or badge! EE4 would be fine for this if I could prevent the tie, badge or Branch Admin Fee invoking registration details request! Can this be prevented?

Apologies if these are simple requests!

Hi there,

Currently EE doesn’t have the functionality to do this dynamically for you, it would be possible to do, but would require custom development from a developer.

The way you have it set now is how I would set that pricing structure up in EE.

Secondly, I need to add a Branch Admin Fee of £3.50 to each total order in the same way as offering a tie, or badge! EE4 would be fine for this if I could prevent the tie, badge or Branch Admin Fee invoking registration details request! Can this be prevented?

You can’t have some tickets require registration details and others not, so you only want a single £3.50 admin charge added on to any orders, regardless of the number of tickets selected?

Thanks, I fixed it by adding the one off charge to mandatory ticket 1 (maximum number of tickets of type one=1), one ticket of type 2, one of type 3 and as many of type 4 as they require! It’s not perfect as it relies on honesty to pick the correct ticket type, but members know the set up too, no ticket, no membership!

As for the products, I dropped them out of the setup, but this would be such a useful addition to EE4, to be able to add a Real Product to the cart as a someone buys a ticket or membership!

We have a feature request to add what we call the ‘Price Modifiers’ to EE here:

https://trello.com/c/uJhRDmvT/104-price-modifier-add-on

That would be the ability to add values to questions, so when question is selected the value is added to the transaction. There’s a snippet available that a developer can use to add a simple form of the above here:

https://github.com/eventespresso/ee-code-snippet-library/blob/master/checkout/bc_ee_add_product_surcharge.php

However, it will not work out of the box as the question ID’s need to match yours for it to work.

Cheers Tony, but for now, the way I have reworked after a rethink will get the job done! Cheers for the support!
