OK, hit return a bit too early. I had two completed registrations. All good. But, they forgot to apply a coupon for a partial discount. We issued the partial discount to them, and wanted to reflect that in EE. Let’s say registration was $500. They paid it, and were subsequently issued a $75 refund. When applying a refund in EE, the transaction moves to incomplete. I want it to stay complete, and the registrations approved. How can I do that?

Hi,
There are a few ways to do this, but the most straightforward way is to first go into the transaction and refund the entire amount. When you apply the full refund in the Transactions admin, no actual money is refunded. You’ll set the “Change Registration Status” option to Approved, and opt out of sending any emails.
Then, go to the Event Espresso > Transactions admin list and look for the transaction. You’ll see a money () icon in the Actions column for the transaction. You’ll click on that icon which will open a new tab. You’ll input the promo code there and submit the promo code. The promo code will be applied, leaving the correct amount owing. Then you’ll close the tab.
Then, you go into the transaction record and apply the correct payment amount.
