Comments on Event Pages?

Hello EE folks. I’ve been trying to figure this new request out, and can’t quite get it. I’m sure it’s possible though, since you guys seem to have all the answers. ๐Ÿ™‚
What I would like to do is allow users (any user) to comment on Events. Since we’re a rock climbing group, we have a lot of new people who are curious about the sport, the gear, etc., and we want to be able to engage those people and make sure they’re comfortable.
Right now I have the Event Calendar going to the event post so that users can comment, but it’s a bit confusing for some. They want to go directly to the Registration Page, not the Event Post, and I admit it’s a PITA to have comments on one page, and registration on another
So… is there a way to add comments to the Registration Page?
Thanks!

Hi MIke,

Comments can be set up to be allowed on any page in WordPress. There should be a box labeled “Discussion” where you can check the box labeled “Allow comments”. If you don’t see a Discussion box in the page editor, you can add it to the screen by going into the screen options tab (upper right corner of the editor screen).

That said, the main registration page is dynamically generated, so there will be one set of comments for all the event pages.

I didn’t even think about that! I forgot that the Registration Page is dynamic, so I just need to allow comments on that page. I’ll figure out whether we’re okay allowing comments for all events on one page or not.

Thanks again!
