Hello! I sell adult tickets and kids tickets at different prices. The total capacity of my venue is 100 people. Does Event Espresso have the capability of showing ‘sold out’ when the *combined* total is 100 or more?

Hi David,

The short answer is yes. Each ticket is individual and when the event capacity (if set) is reached it will stop selling tickets.

You will likely want to make sure that Multiple Event Registration is in the package you buy (Business or Developer) as this add on is a cart system that will allow sales of multiple ticket types per event, as by default in version 3.1.x only one ticket type per event can be purchased.

Thanks for the prompt response, Dean.

Just to be clear, will Event Espresso combine the various ticket types to check on the event capacity? e.g. it will show as ‘sold out’ when 77 adult + 23 kids have been sold or 65 adults and 35 kids have been sold.

I’m not looking to set a limit on any individual ticket type, but looking to set a limit on the combined total.

Hi David,

If 100 tickets are sold and the capacity is 100 then the event will stop further sales.

The system doesn’t care what type of tickets those are, just that 100 have been sold.
