EE recommends the plugin called CODE SNIPPETS by Shea Bunge & Verdi Heinz.

WordPress.ORG just suspended this plugin pending review.

Does anybody know what is going in in this situation? WordFence is lighting up vulnerabilities but has nothing to say about Code Snippets yet…

Are we going to need to find a replacement plugin if Code Snippets gets banned by WordPress.org?

Hi there,

May I ask where you have seen that recommendation by ourselves, please?

Generally, we recommend creating a custom functions plugin rather than using the Snippets plugin to add snippets within that, see:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-site-specific-plugin-wordpress-site/

So our preferred/recommended method is to create your own custom functions plugin which then holds all of your custom code within that. The snippets plugin like above need to store those snippets somewhere which will be within the database, loading those snippets from the database will be slower than if those snippets were stored within a plugin such as above.
