Hi there, we’re using the templates in Divi to add the title to a bigger header graphic. In our notification emails, instead of showing what it is meant to look like, it’s showing the code for this area. Is it possible to hide this code somehow?
In short, you can’t use Divi shortcodes in the message templates (or any other ‘WordPress’ shortcodes for that matter). The message system is completely separate system with its own set of shortcodes so for the above you would need a completely custom message template (which isn’t all that easy to do currently).
See the developer docs on message templates and variations here:
I don’t think I have added any divi shortcodes into the message templates though. I was referring to the divi page templates – I think the message is pulling the event page into the email?
I’m using a template in Divi for the header area on these pages, to make the blue background with the big title area.
My apologies, I completely misunderstood here, I thought you were adding those into the message templates to try and get them to look the same.
Ok, so… is this happening with all of your messages or just the Payment Received template?
Are you using the global message template or custom templates?
You can check this by editing an event this has happened on and going to the ‘notifications’ section at the bottom, in the email tab what does it should in the dropdown for your messages? (Add a screenshot if preferred)
