Closing an event once tickets are closed

So I listed the event. The Event is a training course over 6 months. the event starts i.e. January 2019. It now has multiple dates in the system for each “class” stretching over 6 months. The ticketing is closed.

Now I want to open the next course and advertise.

But the first course is still showing “upcoming” as their are event dates.

How do I close the event – so it does not show on the Post lists in WP as upcoming. but is effectively left as listed (so attendees can check up dates etc) but not top of the list. I want the new events with tickets open for the next course delivery to be at the top of the list. How do I do this.

Hi,

You can add this code snippet to a single purpose plugin:

https://github.com/eventespresso/ee-code-snippet-library/blob/master/templates/de_ee_filter_events_out_with_expired_tickets.php

You can add the above to a single purpose functions plugin. Events with all expired tickets will then be removed from the lists.
