Hi

We have a client who is trying to book a place on one of our events. She’s using a Windows 10 laptop, with Chrome.

She completes all the details on the form, and when she presses the “Proceed to Payment” button, she gets the red pop-up box saying “An error has occurred. First Name – This field is required.”

She is adamant that she has filled it in correctly.

In the back end, I can see failed transactions with no name against them… which I am assuming are her.

Any pointers as to how we fix this? I can’t really figure out what is going wrong.

Thanks
D

Should have said:

WordPress version 5.6.1
EE version 4.10.10.p
Plugins all up-to-date
Theme – Twenty Sixteen

No significant changes recently.

In terms of cache… we use WP-Optimise and AutoOptimise… and have done for a long time. Can’t see any jQuery errors in FireFox…

Hi D,

Strange, I’ve just tested adding a registration onto one of your events using Windows 10 and Chrome with no issues.

Is it happening on a specific event? If so, can you link me to the event so I can test that?
