Hi Kathy,

The errors you are seeing indicate that there are out of date template files (from a prior version of Event Espresso) in the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/ directory.

If you have modified templates in there, they need to be updated to use the new template files included with the current version of the plugin.

If you haven’t made any modifications to the files in the /uploads/espresso/templates they can be removed. If you are not sure if there were modifications made to these files, you can back these up or rename that folder just in case.

You can automatically rename the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates folder by going to Event Espresso>Template Settings and clicking the “Rename templates directory” button near the bottom of the page.

Hi Kathy,

The plugins are up to date, but the issues you are seeing may be from out of date templates.

In order to check for out of date templates, you’ll need to log into the server via FTP, or go to Event Espresso>Template settings (at the bottom of the page) and check to see if there are old templates in the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates directory.

If there are older templates there, there will be a button at the bottom of the Event Espresso>Template settings screen that will automatically rename the templates directory for you.

Hi Kathy,

Another thing to check:

It looks like this page is either missing or set to private:

http://merlotandvangoghnc.com/?page_id=61

You may need to create a new event registration page if the old one was moved to the trash. You can create a new event registration page by creating a new page in the WordPress admin and add this shortcode to it:

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS]

Then save and be sure it’s set to be a publicly viewable page (not private or draft). Then go to Event Espresso>General Settings and set this new page as the main registration page.

The page and events are both set to public. I think the problem is I need the latest template download. How do I get it?

When I am logged onto the dashboard I can access and pay for an event. But, it is marked public.

Hi Kathy,

The templates are included with the Event Espresso plugin and are installed automatically in wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/templates. There is no need to put templates in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates unless you require customizations to be made.

Can you go to Event Espresso>General Settings and find the page setting for the Main registration page? It will show a page title there. Then, can you find that page where you edit pages and check to see if there is an [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode on that page?

The templates are not on my server. If I buy another token, is this something your guys could fix for me?
