Hi All –
This was working before, but something happened to stop it from working. When you check out, it sends you back to the registration page every time, without going to the paypal page (as it did before.) Paypal is still setup, I haven’t changed that.
Example: http://slamacademy.com/event-registration/
Try to register for the first 2 things – the first one should take you to the checkout page, and the second one takes you to a detail page, but if you register from there you go right back to the registration page.
Like I said, it was working, and now it isn’t. Help!

I checked it out. That’s off. Have you changed anything as far as your specific event setups are concerned?

Thanks Jwilson – No, I haven’t. The only thing I’ve been messing with is the “Alternative Registration Page”. But if you register for the first thing on my main registration page, I took it off. It’s still on the second one. But the first one (Ableton 3) has that field empty. I don’t think I did anything else weird.
They are all setup as recurring events. Could that be an issue?
(Now that I think about it, I think the only paypal test I did before was with a non-recurring event.)

Did you change the main registration page shortcode? If it’s not [ESPRESSO_EVENTS], this could cause problems.

Ahh! I did. I changed it to:
[EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”class”]
I need to show events in that list that are only in the category “class”. Is there another way to do it that might fix this problem?
Thanks a bunch!

Ok, that changing it back to just [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] seems to fix the problem. However, now I’m a step back in needing to show just one type of event on that page.
This didn’t work: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS event_category_id=”class”]
(It works, but seems to ignore the event_category stuff).

Any ideas here?
Thanks!

ESPRESSO_EVENTS does not have any parameters. It is used to display an event list AND also process registration. But it does not have to be your main event list. There are other shortcodes ([EVENT_LIST], [EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY], others) that can be used instead, and you just hide the ESPRESSO_EVENTS page from the navigation. You can’t get rid of the ESPRESSO_EVENTS page, but that doesn’t mean you need to use it to display your events. Does that make sense?

Yup – Thats what I thought, and ended up trying. It all seems to be working the way I want now.
Thanks for your help!
