I have the same problem that here:

I can confirm is not because your test site, I put it on a server with normal configuration and still only the admin can do check-in.(Not so event-managers)
All the rest permissions ok.
Am I missing something?
Just in the case it was a bug, could you fix it or indicate me where is the function wrong?

Hi there,
The mobile apps currently require a role of WordPress administrator to login and use the check in feature.

Can you help me technically saying where is exactly on the code this issue? I guess is not on mobile apps but on server- side within the plugin? Or is on the client-side (mobile app)?
If I would use the api no through mobile apps should work?
