Hello there. I want to use your plugin for my Church kid’s classes. And want to be able for them to check-in w/o the need of tickets. Using their smartphones. As well I want to make sure they are “on-site” when they check-in. Is this possible with EE. If it is not built-in at the moment. Do you think that is possible with your Custom-Files add-on?

Hi Angelica,
How do you intend on the student checking in? The app we built is not intended for use by the attendee. Are you trying to keep a record of those in attendance in Event Espresso? How do you see this working?

Hello Garth. Thank you for your time.
The requirements are these:
- Students can check in via a smartphone app (or via smartphone light browser area).
- We must be careful that they are “really there” when they check in.
- Once classes occur, or a series of classes occur, the church should be able to log into the website and get reports and confirmation of who attended what classes
And regarding your questions…On the ticketing system. Does it keep record of attendance? or just validates the authenticity of the ticket?

When a ticket is scanned in using the mobile apps, that attendee is marked as “attended” and that ticket cannot be scanned again. It also validates the authenticity of the ticket and prevents re-entry (once an attendee is marked as “attended” they can’t be unmarked except manually by an admin).
