Charging Additional Amounts using Quickbooks

Hi, we are using EE4 and the Quickbooks Payment plugin. Occasionally we have to charge an attendee an additional amount beyond the class charges they have already paid, due to for example, them forgetting a manual. Not sure how to do this, and wondering if you have any suggestions?

Hi there,

Do you provide those options in the event normally?

For example, do you have a ticket with ‘Class only’ ($10) and then another ‘Class + Manual’ ($20)?

If so you can ‘move’ the registration from the class only ticket to the class + manual ticket using the Attendee mover add-on, the $10 they paid for the original ticket will still apply and they’ll have $10 remaining at its not a $20 ticket (obviously my numbers are simply made up here).

We don’t have the two ticket options now. By the time they get to class and realize they forgot their manual, they will have already paid for the class – if we were to use your suggestion and move them to the “class + manual” ticket, would their previous payment be reflected and only the differential ready to charge?

Yes, the original payment would apply towards the new transaction if you use the attendee mover add-on.
