I had the same problem as Howard: https://eventespresso.com/topic/how-to-remove-number-from-event-description/, and did rename the directory as you described. The event ID number is gone, – but a character “h” is showing instead.: https://kampanje-event-com.secure.domeneshop.no/smd-noframe/
Any idea what to do?

Hi there,
I would check in the registration_page_display.php template and make sure nothing was added/removed between lines 15 and 39. You can download a fresh copy of Event Espresso from your account page if you need an original copy to compare it with.
