We’d like to change the wording on some of the buttons and links used in the EE3 plugin and MER addon. Is there a language file we can modify?

Hello,

You can search for a phrase that you see on your website through GlotPress under the Event Espresso 3 project like this one for “Add to Cart”

https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso/en/event-espresso-en_US?filters%5Bterm%5D=add+to+cart&filters%5Buser_login%5D=&filters%5Bstatus%5D=current_or_waiting_or_fuzzy_or_untranslated&filter=Filter&sort%5Bby%5D=priority&sort%5Bhow%5D=desc

That will show you the exact phrase. Once you have that, then you can use a gettext filter (https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/4962940#file-filter_gettext-php) to change the messaging and it can be added to a site specific plugin (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-site-specific-plugin-wordpress-site/).

Hi Lorenzo — thanks. I tried using the GlotPress to find the button I wanted to change, but when I search for the phrase (“Enter Attendee Information”) it doesn’t find it.

Hello,

Could you share a screenshot (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots) of that area?

Also, were there any other areas that you were having trouble with?
