Changing the message posted to Twitter/Facebook

Twitter: How do I change the default message that gets sent when a guest shares an event via twitter? Currently the first word is the page name, which is much too vague. I’d like to switch it to the actual event name.

Facebook: Liking a specific event does not return you to that event when clicked on Facebook. THe link shared with facebook is the event page and not the specific event. How do I change this to like/share the actual event the guest liked?

G+: Same questions as twitter regarding the event title. It just shares the title of the main event page. Also, any way to control the logo that is shared? Currently it’s the site logo, but I’d love to use the event logo. Same question for Facebook.

Thanks!

Hello Jeff,

Currently the social buttons have limited options. In order to change the display message you would need to edit the files, which of course is not ideal.

We are currently working on a closer integration with Facebook that should provide much more functionality.

I can at least give a more definite answer regarding the G+ image issue. As with Facebook, the it grabs the first few/all images. Unlike Facebook it seems to grab the site logo/header image as well. The images can be scrolled through by the user. There is a way to push G+ in the right direction but it needs to be done from our end. I added a ticket but cannot advise timescales on features as they are on hold whilst we work on 3.2.
