Hello

We have Event Espresso – 3.1.37.17.P.

Is there a way we can easily change the word “Date” on the cart (referring to the event date) to “Start Date”. It would be good if we could do this for selected events, but if not, for all events at this stage.

Regards, Joe

Hi Joe,

People use the term ‘cart’ for various sections that we (support) would not expect so can you add a screenshot of the specific location you are referring to please?

EE should automatically output ‘Start Date: ‘ in that location if the Event start date does not match the event end date.

If you set them to the same date you’ll need to translate the above, you can’t do it selectively without taking over the registration form template but to translate it everywhere you can use the function mentioned here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/#custom-function

The string you need to translate would just be 'Date: ', so in your $strings array you’ll have something like this:

$strings = array(
        'Date: ' => 'Start Date: ',
);

Add that to a custom functions plugin on your site, we have some documentation on creating one here:
