Hi – we had a registrant register 6 tickets today each with different attendees – we then went to change one of the attendees on one of the registrations and then all of the attendees changed to that person for that order. Is there a way to change the attendees without all of them changing? |

Any updates on this? |

Hi there, Apologies for the delay during the holidays. When a user registers onto a ticket and they provide unique First Name and Email address for each registrant, EE will create a contact for each of those registrants and assign it to each individual registration (so in this case 6 contacts for 6 registrations). However, if the user provides the same details for all registrants, or EE isn’t asking for the ‘Personal Information’ group for the additional registrants they will all be assigned to 1 contact (the Primary Registrant)… so 1 contact for 6 registrations. In your opening post, you have:
For the above to happen, they can’t have registered with different attendees during the registration. The fix for this differs depending on how they registered so I’m splitting hairs but trying to figure out how this was done. If you go to Event Espresso -> Registrations and find the group of 6 registrations in that list, then find the PRimary registrant (shown as 1/6 under the name). Right click on the icon and open in new window.. then do 2/6 in a new window. https://monosnap.com/file/WKT44GXuPexoFRFNHdpfseDfYLIAzR Look in the address bar and look for each and it’ll have Does the ID for both of those match? If so, compare them all and see if they all match. If they do, what you can do is start from the LAST registration (so 6/6) and click to edit the reg details. You should see a ‘Create contact’ button: https://monosnap.com/file/SpwkaORtPUpKJES6Kh5LEdSLPGPN6H Click that and EE will duplicate the current contact into a new one and take you to edit that contact directly. Edit that contact to something else, either the ‘new’ contact details or just temporarily add ‘1’ to the end of the first and last name just so you can see it has been changed (you can edit later). Save and refresh the registration list table, you should see Registrant 6/6 now updated. Repeat working up from 5/6 etc for each registrant you want to edit. |
