I’m trying to change the error message wording on registration that says “An error has occurred:
You need to select a ticket quantity before you can proceed.”
So to be clear you have translated 2 separate strings within the PO file?
An error has occurred:<br /> and You need to select a ticket quantity before you can proceed.
Then generated a MO file from your PO file.
Renamed that file to event_espresso-{locale}.mo (Locale being whatever locale is in use on your site, if us English it will be en_US)
Then uploads that MO file to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages/
Reloaded the event page and tested triggering the error?
Quick Localization plugin has not been updated over 2 years.
Don’t use Quick Localization, it should be considered a last resort imo.
Can someone just tell me which file the error message is located at?
No, but we can help you get the translations working.
The reason being that if you hack core files you firstly prevent us from providing support (we can’t support modified core code, regardless of the modification) and secondly the modification will be lost each and every time you update Event Espresso as plugins are deleted and replaced with the new version when they are updated within WP.
Modifying the files themselves within a plugin is not the correct method to modify any of the output.
