Change Ticket or Refund and Reorder?

Hi there,

We ran into our first case of a user wanting to change their showtime date. Is there a way to do an exchange without refunding and asking them to reorder? I didn’t see this in the documentation, but may have missed it.

Hi Tim,

If it’s a different event but the price is the same, you could use the (beta) Attendee Reassignment Addon, that simply moves the attendee from one event to another. It does not take into account price differences though.

It’s available in the Pre Release section in your account page.

It looks to be EE3 only, I’m on EE4.

Hi Tim,

If the event pricing is the same then you can add a new registration through the WordPress dashboard:

WP-admin –> Event Espresso –> Events.

Then hover over the name of an event and click on Registrations. On the next page, click on Add New Registration.

Then complete the registration.

Once this has been done, you can cancel the original registration through the Registrations screen within your WP dashboard.
