Change receipt and invoice numbering system

Hi,

I would like to customize both the receipt and invoice numbering system. Currently they both follow the ID. I would like to change it to Year/ID. This will be useful as the years go by, it will be easier to track.

In that case, how to we reset it to be 16/01 Next year?

Hi,

That’s why we made the Invoice templates so accessible as message templates. It’s would take about three minutes if you just edit the Invoice and Receipt messages templates directly and add the year in the format you want. Then it would take 3 minutes to do it again in 2016.
