I have been trying (without luck) to change the text string ” Your registration is not complete until payment is received.” |
Robert, Please be sure and add both the .po and .mo files to the languages directory. If they are not both added, this method will not work. |

Personally for one line translations I would use either a plugin or the function here posted on this page: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/#plugins When translating you need to include all of the phrase, including full stops, spaces, etc. So in this case, even if using the ‘Quick Localization’ method, the string your are translating is: ‘Your registration is not complete until payment is received.’ |

Thanks Tony but as you will read in my first post I have tried both the methods you suggest. The text string has a full stop and I did include that in the translation both in the Poedit method and the Quick Localization method. Just for the hell of it I did another translation including the apostrophes but still nothing. I have uploaded both the .mo and .po files…still nothing. |

Hi, Let’s see if we can work through this. So you downloaded the po file, edited and saved in Poedit. What directory did you upload the file to? Did you change the language settings in wp_config.php? (even if you are translating from US English to Us English you need to set this otherwise it doesnt know to look for a translation file – I spent hours on one site until I realised that…). |
