Dear Events Espresso~

How do I change the word “Events” to “Tours” across the entire Plugin? I’m using the latest version of WordPress and Events Espresso.

Thanks!

Z

Hi there,

One way is with Poedit:

Another way is by using the gettext filter (requires some knowledge of PHP). There is some sample code here that you can use as a reference:

Dear Josh~

Thanks for helping out, but I think you misunderstood me. See my screenshot here: http://visitmack.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/event_registration_error.jpg.

I’m referring to changing the actual “Event Registration” verbiage on the front-end of the website, not the back-end. It’s seems as though the solution you gave me was to change only the back-end data that’s contained in the WordPress Dashboard.

Does this make sense?

Hello Z,

I think that Josh did understand what you were asking. These are the processes we recommend for changing verbiage in the plugin. This will do what you are asking; change the verbiage on the frontend.

@Jonathan I changed everything using Poedit and it didn’t work. I followed all the instructions carefully and changed the language within my wp-config file. I sorted the language using Poedit and I can see some changes occurring, but not for the actual page I need it to be changed on the front-end.

The webpage that continues to show “Event Registration” is here: http://visitmack.com/event-registration/?regevent_action=register&event_id=786. The password to get in is visitmack.

Would you please assist me just a bit more so I can get this accomplished sir? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The “Event Registration” is the page title, so PoEdit wont change it.

The Page titles are shown by your theme. Some themes have options to turn page titles off site wide or maybe even on a per page basis, some themes do not have this option at all.

Your theme, the default TwentyTwelve theme, does not have these options, so you would have to edit the theme templates to remove the titles/s from showing.
