I’m having an issue where everyone is selecting the default session on my event- it’s a day divided into 3 equal sessions- morning, afternoon, evening.

Is there a way I can make this into a set of radio buttons instead that is required and unselected by default? i.e. they must explicitly select one of the sessions and if they select nothing they get an error?

Hi Monica,

Not easily. You could modify the event_espresso_price_dropdown function found in includes/functions/pricing.php (it is a pluggable function) but it does require good coding knowledge to do.

An easier option might be to modify the template to add in a larger/more noticeable message telling the users to select an option.

Another alternative would be some javascript to add in a Please Select option.

Thanks Dean- that’s what we ended up doing.
