Hi,

Is there a way to either change the event id on a recurring event or reorder the recurring drop down list by name?

Hi Emma,

The Custom Template Add-on (which is used to pull the events and then the custom template is used to display those events) is based on the EVENT_LIST shortcode, this means that the shortcode attributes available for EVENT_LIST are also available for [EVENT_CUSTOM_VIEW]

So you can order the recurring dropdown using the order_by and sort attributes. For example to order by event_name ascending just use this shortcode:

[EVENT_CUSTOM_VIEW template_name=”recurring-dropdown” order_by=event_name sort=ASC]

Which will order the events based on the event name, 1-9 a-z.
