I am looking for a way to enable a ‘CC’ field in the batch messaging system. We send out Welcome emails to registrants of an event (which are classes in our case), and I would like to be able to CC in the teacher/facilitator of the event so they also get the information as it sometimes has confirmed dates and times.
Currently, what I do is create each message as a template, send a test email to myself, and fwd the test email to the teacher saying ‘this is what your students received’.
Would love to just be able to CC them in as I edit the standard template inside the Batch Messaging area.
Indeed – is there an option to add a ‘teacher’/’facilitator’ to an event, kinda like how you add a venue? and then they would be auto-sent any communications that go to registrants they are a facilitator for?
If you included a CC field within the batch message type it would CC every message generated through the batch, which I don’t think you want from the above.

You could use a custom template for the Registration Approve message type and then force the registrations to retrigger that message type, which you can also do in a batch.
Would that work better for your use case? (I’ll add more details if it sounds like it could work or you)

Not for the batch messages.
You could assign them as the author of the event and then they will receive any messages triggered for the ‘Event Admin’ by Event Espresso.
Would that work?
