I researched this issue and found several posts. Im really not sure why this is not working. I see the categories in the drop down and can type in the search box but nothing happens after that.

Hi,

Can you help explain what you mean by “not working”?

The reason I ask is because I checked the site and everything appears to be working from this end. I made a little screen recording of using the filter fields:

Josh, Im not sure but yes It is working. I was testing in Draft Mode, I wonder if this might have caused the issue? I only published to show you the example. Thanks for making that video…

Hey I have a few other questions regarding the Events Table Template. Should I post them here or create new posts?

Thank you very much…

When the post is in draft mode it doesn’t load the scripts required for the search features, so yes that’s why those features weren’t working until you hit publish.

You can post your additional questions here or start new topics if you prefer.

Got ya… Thanks for clarifying that… My other questions related to the Table Template have to do with Changing the text color of the column headers, possibly updating the text “Category Filter” and changing the text “Venue” in the column header. Do you think I would need to contact a developer for these changes? Thank You..

Whether you need to contact a developer or not will depend on whether you’re comfortable with adding code to your site. Some of these items do not require a developer. For example, you can add the following CSS to your site’s Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS panel to change the color of the column headings:

.footable > thead > tr > td,
.footable > thead > tr > th {
 background-color: #24447b;
 background-image: none;
}

and if you’re comfortable with adding some PHP code to a plugin on your site, you can follow this guide to change the wording:
